One morning he ends up injured after purposefully burning himself on a BBQ. As his daughter arrives to the scene, she makes the decision to send him to an elderly home the following day. Grandad Arnold enjoys his last remaining hours of freedom, choosing to go on a frenzy of thoughtless and inappropriate behaviour. As his day comes to a close, he is greeted by a mail boy named Frank. The two exchange conversation over a joint in which Frank brings up the idea of travel to Grandad Arnold once again.

Director's Statement

HIGH NOON is a film about loneliness, intrusive thoughts and love. Everyone comes to an age in their lives where it feels as if nothing matters anymore but what matters is what brings you joy. As Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw puts it "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing".

This is the story of Grandad Arnold, a man of many tales but someone who has to come to terms with getting older and remembering what is important in his life.
